COVID Era: Time to Focus on Personal Development

Remember how a year ago, working from home was a trendy dream chased by many, that seemed an almost unachievable luxury for most of us? Then suddenly here we are, working from home for many months, even in the industries and jobs that seemed not compatible with this style. We have got an increased flexibility, our kitchen with favorite snacks two steps away, and the transit time brought to one minute that you need to get from one room to another.

However, along with these, came many difficulties. We lack real communication, lack movement, often do not get enough fresh air, daylight exposure, and events – those random daily events that just happen to us normally. We feel as if in vacuum, left to ourselves, our hopes, challenges, and fears, left to reflect on everything at these times of uncertainty.

But should we hide from this? Or should we take advantage of this opportunity of being on our own, to do things we enjoy and work on self-improvement? Remember how many times we used to complain that there were so many things we wanted to do but never had time for? Well, now there seems to be time for these! Ever wanted to learn new things? There is more and more online and free learning available these days. You have probably heard of Coursera, Udemy, EdX, and other platforms. In the light of the current situation, online learning becomes even bigger thing than it used to be. A wide variety of universities and schools around the world offer courses online, even those that would likely not do that if not for the pandemic. Did you know that the Ministry of Education of México (SEP) through Television Educativa has signed a cooperation agreement as a member with edX? Now Mexico’s most prestigious educational institutions massively offer online their best courses. You can also look for free online courses on MexicoX.

So, why not use this time to upgrade skills and come out of this as a better version of yourself? The time will pass regardless, and there are so many things we cannot change about this situation. But we can change the way we come out of this when things become better. So instead of remembering 2020 and 2021 as years that we ‘almost did not use’, we can look back at this time as an era of self-improvement, learning, and hobbies.

The Power to Connect.

2020 #StayAtHome pandemic for many of us, has challenging the way to keep connected. Being working from home to many of us has bringing some realizations of how we have being managing our time, our work, homes, families and friends.

Our ways to administrate our times and create a new work environment, redefining our goals, and reflecting on our sense of purpose, our way to see and value the relationships with work and people.

All this reflections had happening as a result of the Stay At Home because of the pandemic and this may be some of the positives that has happened to all of us.

This new experiences of living and being  productive from home or from a remote places has as well pushing us to be more aware of all the possibilities that technology has to offer us.

This opportunities has force us to be more tech savvy and to  learn more about ways to communicate to keep the connection with our regular jobs.

Many of us has master the use of social media and used as better tool to communicate with other in a personal, social or business levels. For some the use of new tools like Zoom has increase the creativity and efficiency to provide sooner meeting results.

For many other has awake new possibilities to be more creative or entrepreneur.

What it is the power to be connected has not decline, to the contrary has move us to think about the box and our regular standard of communication.

Thought the invisible network of an electronic community a new community has emerged.

Keep connected.

Studying abroad: a way to transcend

Studying abroad: a way to transcend

The experience of studying and exchanging knowledge outside their country is the dream many students have, which is becoming increasingly possible to do.

Making the decision to undertake a dream in another country, such as studying in a different system, goes beyond acquiring knowledge; the desire to learn is daring to cross barriers and take them as an incentive that helps us transcend.

A dynamic agreement that offers great opportunities to continue consolidating the relationship between Mexico and Canada.

A dynamic agreement that offers great opportunities to continue consolidating the relationship between Mexico and Canada.

Since 2015, Mexico and Canada have strengthened their dialogue and collaboration with countries, a source of government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in November 2015-. Both nations have generated a natural and strategic synergy to protect the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), its companies and its economies…

Machine Learning 4 Mexico

Machine Learning 4 Mexico

Let the talent, in its various ways, reunite the Mexican diaspora. Let our uniqueness and passion build bridges among Mexicans (within Mexico and abroad), as well as people from other nationalities. Let technology, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership turn into the means and tools to crate these bridges. Let initiatives such as Machine Learning 4 Mexico shape the pathways of these bridges.
